It is a major priority for the Faroese government to actively take part in efforts and initiatives between allies and partners aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the North Atlantic and High North region.

Open dialogue and mutual recognition

“Cooperation between the Faroese and Danish governments is important in the context of security and defence, and today’s meeting was an important step in establishing an open dialogue based on mutual recognition and respect that I look forward to developing further,” says Foreign Minister Høgni Hoydal.
