The Foreign Policy Committee in the Faroese Parliament agrees with the Government, that sanctions should be imposed on Russia, because of the invasion of Ukraine.
Prime Minister Bárður á Steig Nielsen and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Culture Jenis av Rana consulted the Foreign Policy Committee yesterday. They requested the committee’s support for joining the Western allies in imposing sanctions against Russia.
A unanimous committee backed the government’s plan.
