The Governments of the United States of America and the Faroe Islands held today in Washington D.C. a meeting under the 2020 Partnership Declaration. The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing ties and recognized the prospect for greater cooperation between the United States and the Faroe Islands.
Faroe Islands Director General of the Foreign Service Gunnar Holm-Jacobsen and U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Douglas Jones led the meeting, which included discussions on political, economic, and cultural cooperation. The meeting offered a review of progress since the Partnership Declaration was signed and set goals for the coming year.
