Number of temporary residence permits for Ukrainians in the Faroe Islands set to increase from 200 to 250

A Special Act for displaced persons from Ukraine came into effect for the Faroe Islands 10 April 2022, enabling the issuance of 200 temporary residency permits for Ukrainians who have fled on or after 24 February 2022.

The current issuance is at 180 permits and the Ministry of Justice is now presenting a proposal to raise the limit, allowing for the issuance of up to 250 temporary residence permits for Ukrainians.

The proposal has been submitted to public hearing.
