NAMMCO (The North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission) is inviting applications for the position of Secretary General. Based at the organisation’s headquarters in Tromsø, Norway, the Secretary General will lead the Secretariat and support NAMMCO’s work on the conservation and sustainable management of marine mammals in the North Atlantic. Based on the best available science, user knowledge and technical developments, NAMMCO provides management advice on the conservation and use of marine mammals to its Parties: Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, and Norway.
The appointment is for an initial four-year term, with the possibility of reappointment.
