
On 4–5 September, the Faroe Islands are in focus at the Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka during the Faroe Islands Days. The programme highlights Faroese creativity, innovation, and international cooperation.
Inspired by the annual TONIK festival in the Faroe Islands, the event celebrates creativity, innovation, and community.
On 4 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Sirið Stenberg will open the Faroe Islands Days together with Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hisayuki Fujii. The programme features Faroese representatives from business, design, culture, and technology.
Small, yet complete - this is what makes the Faroe Islands unique. Visitors can experience Faroese art, music, film, fashion and wool design, furniture, sustainable seaweed products, local breweries and distilleries, as well as the internationally renowned Faroese stamps. Atlantic Airways and the Faroese Digital Agency will present connectivity and digital solutions, while renewable energy initiatives showcase the islands’ commitment to sustainability.
When arts and technology meet, the synergy becomes a powerful force – one that inspires innovation, creativity, and cultural preservation. The Faroe Islands Days in Osaka celebrate this spirit of resilience, creativity, and community.
The Nordic Pavilion at Expo 2025 attracts up to 9,000 visitors daily, offering a unique opportunity to present the Faroe Islands to Japan and the world.
