Aleqa Hammond visits the Faroe Islands

Aleqa Hammond, Prime Minister of Greenland arrives in the Faroe Islands today for the first time since taking office as head of government in Greenland.
Following the general debate on the strategic assessment of Arctic in the Faroese parliament last week, Faroese Prime Minister, Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen, and Aleqa Hammond will meet to discuss Arctic opportunities and challenges faced by the two countries. The ministers are also to talk over the opportunities for extending trade relations between the two countries within the framework of the Hoyvík Treaty.

Aleqa Hammond stays in the Faroe Islands until Sunday.
