Bringing medication to the Faroe Islands – for personal use

When travelling to the Faroe Islands, you may bring medication for your personal use without a medication passport.

Guidelines:

  • Bring enough medication for the duration of your stay plus an additional two days. For example, if you are staying in the Faroe Islands for 7 days, you should bring enough medication for 9 days.

  • Make sure your medication is kept in its original packaging. You may also bring a prescription, if necessary, to show that the medication is prescribed to you.

Since the medication is for personal use, there are no distinctions between different types of medication that you may bring.

As a general rule, there is also no limit on the length of your stay.
